Small Patchwork Painting - Ochre/Navy

Curved freeform patchwork in rich shades of blue, peach, yellow and brown.   Made from a mix of repurposed cottons, linens and silks, carefully scoured, mordanted and then dyed with plants.  Worked across the surface with plus quilting stitches of plant dyed sashiko thread and wool wadding for textural loft. Stretched on a  wooden frame with a canvas backing for stability.

Measures approx 20 cm / 8 inches square
 
Spot clean with cool water and air dry.  Hang plant dyed textiles out of direct sunlight.
