Freeform Patchwork by Hand - Online Workshop April

Join me for a morning of creative exploration as we delve into the possibilities of freeform hand-pieced patchwork. Using just fabric, scissors, needle and thread, this session will cover a variety of techniques including hand piecing straight and curved lines, freeform interpretations of traditional blocks, and applique shapes. This approach will allow us to create a collection of smaller components that can be sewn together into a single piece. Towards the end, I'll show you some of the many finishing options for your piece, including adding wadding for structure, quilting stitches for texture, stretching on a frame, binding as a wall hanging, or even incorporating it into a bag or clothing.

This is a relaxed and playful session, intended to stimulate your creativity, explore new ideas, and enhance your skills. Suited to both beginner and more experienced sewers.
