Dye Your Own Napkins Kit

The perfect project to dip your toe into the world of natural dyeing.  Four mixed vintage natural fibre (may be cotton, linen or a mix) napkins, carefully scoured and mordanted with tannin and alum and ready for dyeing.  Pack includes 50g of dried Sulphur Cosmos from my garden, which just require simmering gently in water and your dye bath is ready to go.  The flowers will dye all the napkins a soft warm yellow but could also use the prepared textiles to experiment with other easily found dyes such as onion skins, avocado pits/skins or pomegranate skins, to name but a few. 
 
And of course, no one said you had to use the napkins as napkins...
 
Napkins measure approx 47 cm square but there may be some variation.
